We are happy to announce the introduction of Employment Specialists into Primary Care!
An Employment Specialist in Primary Care is a professional who works within a primary care setting (like a doctor’s office or community health clinic) to help patients find, maintain, or improve employment. Their role often focuses on supporting patients who may face challenges in getting or keeping a job due to health issues, disabilities, or social barriers.
Patients registered within Calder and Ryburn Primary Care Network, who have been significantly impacted by mental health issues, now have access to tailored employment support from Sandra!
The team is dedicated to helping people whose lives have been greatly impacted by mental health challenges. This can involve diagnosed or undiagnosed conditions that affect how someone thinks, feels, manages their emotions, interacts with others, and goes about their daily life. Examples of these conditions may include, but are not limited to, psychosis, bipolar disorder, severe anxiety, depression, and personality disorders.
